THE MEMORY OF THE TREES

The Memory of the Trees: a shared forest

We sometimes forget that each tree is, in itself, a perfectly organized enterprise: around 200,000 leaves work tirelessly to produce oxygen, the element that allows us to live. Their power over us is extraordinary and yet we tend to forget that they are a limited resource.

With this reflection in mind, The Memory of the Trees was born — a project that brings together art, technology and sustainability to pay tribute to nature. Together with @bosquessostenibles, we reforested one hectare of burnt land in the Iruelas Valley (Ávila, Spain), bringing life back to a landscape once devastated by fire.

To share this gesture with our clients, we created a digital book with artistic photography. For this work, we were joined by French photographer Pierre-Louis Ferrer, with his series The Charm of Light. His work explores the relationship between nature and human beings from a unique perspective, inviting viewers to expand their perception and to confront an invisible yet very real reality.

With a background in sensor engineering and optical instrumentation, Pierre-Louis has developed photographic techniques based on infrared and ultraviolet light, capturing segments of the electromagnetic spectrum beyond what the human eye can see. The result is a series of images that reveal the hidden beauty of landscapes and their coexistence with human activity. All the photographs presented in this work share a sensitive approach to the natural environment and its fragile balance.

The project is completed with a limited series of 50 NFTs, each one linked to the CO₂ compensation that these new trees will provide over the next 40 years. In this way, reforestation is transformed into both an artistic and digital experience, where each participant becomes the custodian of a small part of this forest.

What we have taken from nature in the form of wooden chests, we now return in the form of trees. And most importantly: this is not an isolated gesture, but the beginning of a journey. Our goal is to continue expanding what we have called the Salinas NFT Forest, a shared forest that grows with real roots and also with digital ones.

The Memory of the Trees is both a gesture of gratitude and a collective work: roots, trunk, branches, leaves… and light. A bridge between sustainable philosophy, visual art and technological innovation — a reminder that the future is planted today.

For all these reasons, we believe it is important to share this content with all our readers.
